5.56/223 Once Fired Brass (Deprimed, Swaged, Polished, Annealed) - Sample Pack - 100 Pieces
This is once fired military brass that's in excellent condition! It consists predominantly of Lake City, but will also contain other government contract brass. This once fired brass has been deprimed, the primer pockets have been swaged, and the cases have been thoroughly polished inside and out. In addition, these cases have been annealed to help your sizing operations become more consistent, and ensure that neck tension is as uniform as possible from case to case. Final processing is all that's left to be performed, such as sizing and trimming to length. Extra brass is included to cover any damaged pieces that we may have missed.

Very Good
I tried this brass, it was just as described. It cut down on my bench work and was amazed at the primer pockets close tolerances. The #41's looked like the original.

Very Happy
I ordered the 100 sample pack not knowing what condition the brass would be in when it arrived, every company says their product is the best and we all know how that sometimes works out. First of all I can't believe how quick my order arrived. I placed the order on Sunday and it was here on Wednesday (8-3-16) there is nothing negative i can say about the condition of the brass. After opening the package i went thru each piece looking for flaws and counting the amount sent , there was 105 pieces and out of the 105 all I could find was 3 cases with slightly out of round mouths, that's it !! Nothing a quick run though the die won't fix. I've bought new high end brass that had more issues then this once fired did...... I'm very happy with the quality of this brass and will be placing an order for a bigger quantity in the near future now that i know this brass is well worth the cost.

223 Brass For Sale
Roberts and Son Brass offers sample packs of partially processed and annealed once fired 223 brass for sale. Our military 223 brass is dimensionally no different than commercial Remington 223 brass, it just meets the standard for military brass versus the commercial standard and has been fired once by one of the U.S. military branches. One benefit to military brass is that it's much harder on the Rockwell scale than comparable 223 commercial brass. Independent studies have shown military cases such as Lake City 5.56 to be almost twice as hard on the Rockwell scale as compared to 223 Remington cases. The only brass manufacturers of 223 that come close in hardness testing are Lapua and Norma. However, Lapua 223 brass and Norma 223 brass are still not on the same level as the military brass that we process and sell to our customers. The benefit to reloading 223 brass with a harder brass content is that the reloader will see much longer case life than by using inferior brass of a lower hardness.
Because we buy our 223 brass bulk from the military, we can guarantee that it's once fired 223 brass. Range pickup 223 brass technically shouldn't be called once fired brass, as it's unknown in many cases how many times it's been fired.
Fun fact: How many 223 cases per pound? There are approximately 73 223 cases per pound.
5.56 Brass For Sale
We would like to clarify that 223 brass and 5.56 NATO brass are the same dimensionally. What's the difference between 5.56 and 223? The 5.56 brass designation is from the military and the 223 brass designation is a commercial designation. That's not to say that a 5.56 and a 223 chamber in a rifle are the same; the difference in the two is the dimension of the rifle chamber, not the brass dimension. Interestingly enough, most rifles these days, even from the large manufacturers, are chambered for 223 Wylde. The 223 Wylde was developed to retain the tighter match 223 chamber, while still being able to handle the increased pressures from high velocity 5.56 NATO ammunition and cycle reliably.
Roberts and Son Brass offers sample packs of partially processed and annealed once fired 5.56 brass for sale. Our military 5.56 NATO brass is the same dimension as Remington 223 brass. We buy our 5.56 brass bulk from the U.S. military and process it to provide 5.56 brass for reloading, which we then sell as reloading supplies to our customers.
Because we buy our 5.56 brass bulk from the military, we can guarantee that it's once fired 5.56 brass. Range pickup 5.56 brass technically shouldn't be called once fired brass, as it's unknown in many cases how many times it's been fired.
Can you guess how many 5.56 cases per pound? There are approximately 73 5.56 cases per pound.
