7.62/308 Once Fired Brass Fully Processed - 500 Pieces

This is our premier offering for 7.62/308 brass! This fully processed brass consists predominantly of WCC and LC, but will also contain other government contract brass. This 308 brass has been deprimed, the primer pockets have been swaged, the cases have been thoroughly polished inside and out, the cases have been annealed, the cases have been sized and trimmed to length (2.005" +/- .003"), and each case mouth has been given a slight bell to eliminate the need for manual deburring. This brass is "Good to Go!" We make every effort to ensure that each case is fully ready to load, but we've still included extra brass to cover any damaged pieces that we may have missed.

This is the best brass I've used, bar none. I used to spend time doing all the case prep work myself, now I just buy it ready to go. I enjoy reloading and am a bit of a perfectionist about it, but brass prep can sometimes be downright tedious. Especially in bulk. Some companies claim their brass is ready to load. This stuff actually is. This brass has made my reloads better, and I'm now spending more time behind my rifle than in front of the bench.

Brass is very very good !!

Ordered a sample pack to see how Robertsandson process their brass.. The samples are exactly how I do it.. It is absolutely ready to load. I've been buying fully processed brass from another supplier and have had to run it thru my case trimmer to get rid of the lip left inside the case mouth from dull trimmer bit or no reaming case mouth. I am very pleased with the brass I just received from Roberts and son !!!

Perfect order

Originally sent wrong brass, but upon 1 call, they sent me the correct brass priority mail, with a prepaid return label. Will now be my only brass supplier.

308 Brass For Sale

Roberts and Son Brass offers fully processed once fired 308 brass for sale. Our military 308 brass has the same external dimensions as commercial 308 Winchester brass, the main differences being that it tends to have thicker case walls and web, and it meets the standard for military brass versus the commercial standard. It has also been fired once by one of the U.S. military branches. One benefit to military brass is that it's much harder on the Rockwell scale than comparable 308 commercial brass. Independent studies have shown military cases such as Lake City 7.62 to be almost twice as hard on the Rockwell scale as compared to 308 Winchester cases. The only brass manufacturers of 308 that come close in hardness testing are Lapua and Norma. However, Lapua 308 brass and Norma 308 brass are still not on the same level as the military brass that we process and sell to our customers. The benefit to reloading 308 brass with a harder brass content is that the reloader will see much longer case life than by using inferior brass of a lower hardness.

Because we buy our 308 brass bulk from the military, we can guarantee that it's once fired 308 brass. Range pickup 308 brass technically shouldn't be called once fired brass, as it's unknown in many cases how many times it's been fired.

We would like to clarify that 308 brass and 7.62 NATO brass share the same external dimensions. So what's the difference between 7.62 and 308? One noticeable difference is that 7.62 brass tends to weigh more per case than 308 brass, because it has thicker case walls and web section. The 7.62 brass designation stems from the military while the 308 brass designation is a commercial designation. None of this is to say that a 7.62 and a 308 chamber in a rifle are the same; the primary difference in the two designations is in the dimension of the rifle chamber itself, not the brass dimension.
